Welcome to our weekly blog!
Star of the Week
Shogul has been awarded Star of the Week this week for being a communicatordon (Communicator). Shogul wowed us this week by being able to retell the story 'Farmer Duck'. Shogul is also a very caring friend and continues to work hard in class. We hope you have a lovely weekend with Mr Bucky and we can't wait to hear about your adventures.
Phonics and Talk 4 Writing
We have been learning about the phonics sound 'n' this week. The children have been practising how to say the sound, think of words beginning, ending and containing 'n' like 'nest' and 'panda'. We also had a go at writing 'n' using the correct letter formation. We have done lots of activities in relation to our phonics this week.
In Talk 4 Writing, we have been looking at the story 'Farmer Duck', linking into our phonics.
Home learning (optional): Jolly phonics songs -- your child has now learned 6 sounds in phonics s,a,t,p,i,n. Ask your child to sing to your the 6 jolly phonics songs that match the sounds and show you the action.
Next week, we will be splitting into our phonics groups based on the phonics assessments that have been completed this week. Red Stars: Ss Blue Stars: Cc

Next week, we will be discussing the following questions:
What are the five senses? What can I see/feel/hear/taste/smell?
